You can save a life even if you can't adopt.
You can sponsor one of Bluey’s horses, donkeys, mules, and heelers. There are so many ways to make a difference in their lives. You can sponsor a rescue by donating the funds to free them from auctions and kill pens. You can also sponsor the boarding costs of our rescues which provide for their pasture and stall costs. We are constantly building more pastures and shelters for keeping them safe and secure. This also contributes to their feed, hay, shelter, vet and farrier visits. You can sponsor a horse by donating to the general care fund, or an individual horse by letting us know in the payment form which horse you’d specifically like to care for.
Sponsor a Retired Horse
Many people believe that once a horse cannot be ridden and cannot compete, they have no purpose left. We don’t believe that. These horses have worked all their lives and served their previous owners faithfully. For example, we have rescued several Amish horses that have been worked tirelessly in the fields for years, and once their replacement arrives, they are tossed into auctions and kill pens. These babies need a soft landing, only to be loved on and be free of labor for the first time in their lives. We provide for them a retirement home where they will peacefully spend their remaining years with friends.
