Meet the heelers Bluey has saved.
There will be countless more.

Bluey has rescued these babies and given them a second chance. You can see their pictures below. Join us in Bluey’s journey to save every horse and heeler that we can.

2025

We are saving heelers everyday! Some of them are not up here but this page will be updated every month.

Bristol

Bristol was our first Blue Heeler owner surrender. He was in need of veterinary attention and a new best friend. After just 10 short days we found his forever home and forever mom. He has been neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.

Bingo

Bingo was our second saved heeler. She came from an extremely abusive owner. She was seized by animal control and sent to numerous animal shelters. She was scheduled to be euthanized for kennel space before we pulled her out. She endured severe injuries which included eye damage, head trauma which swole her head to the size of a football, and a broken tail. She is going to live her best life now as all heelers deserve.

Millie

This sweet girl came to us as a local owner surrender. She was born on a Texas farm, hit by a car as a puppy, and lived through abuse. We were told up front that she was terrified of men due to how she was treated. Now you can see her ecstatic with her new dad, and she also has a blue heeler sister. She is loving her new life and forever home.

Vino

This sweet red heeler sat in a Texas shelter for over four months with a broken leg. He waited and waited, and no one came. He had no idea some crazy Carolina girls were planning his jail break! Through the incredible work of our fellow rescue partners, Jenn Nucci and her team of fosters, Vino caught a flight across the country. He healed in his loving foster home, was neutered, got vet care, and finally got to experience what it feels like to be safe and loved. Now he is home for good!

Videl

Videl was adopted as a puppy by Bristol’s parents! She is living her best life now with her heeler brother.

Huck & Hensley

The Father- daughter duo won our hearts and refused to leave! They were foster fails. Now they will live out their days on the Lamberts’ farm as part of their herd. They love their jobs, especially watching over the cows and feeding the horses.

Dottie

Rescued out of breeding in OKC. She spent the first 3 years of her life tied to a horse trailer and bred. She was terrified of people and other dogs. Now she is adopted, loved and adored by her new dad and she loves her new brother. She lives in Currituck, NC.

Soda

Rescued out of OKC as a terrified street dog. This little guy now lives his best life in Currituck, NC with his new mom and siblings.

Toby

Toby was an owner surrender out of Macon County, TN. He is Sparky’s brother. They had reached their euthanasia deadline and Bluey’s stepped up to save them. They found their forever home instantly with our friends. The brothers got adopted by members of the same family so they get to be a family as well! They reside in Chesapeake, VA.

Sparky

Sparky was an owner surrender out of Macon County, TN. He is Toby’s brother. They had reached their euthanasia deadline and Bluey’s stepped up to save them. They found their forever home instantly with our friends. The brothers got adopted by members of the same family so they get to be a family as well! They reside in Chesapeake, VA.

Luke

Luke is a 1.5 year old sweetheart who was rescued out of Labette County, KS. He waited 6 months for a family to notice him but they came to the shelter. He was an owner surrender due to chasing chickens (Wow, imagine a herding dog doing what he was bred to do). Luke ended up being the best wedding present ever! His mom and dad got married and picked him up the very next day. He now resides in the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Bandit

Bandit was an owner surrender out of Pasquotank county, NC. Our local animal shelter could not take him due to him being out of county. We bridged the gap when our animal shelter contacted us to assist with Bandit. He was terrified of males as he was abused in his past. We found the perfect foster family for him. Bandit then decided to explore the city of Chesapeake and made his way to Greenbrier farms where an on foot search team scoured the area. We recruited multiple drone companies to find him as he was having the time of his life running around the farm and enjoying Mexican cuisine from the staff. Once Cliff’s coon hounds got involved to trap him, he was caught in 24 hours. His foster family was crazy about him and realized while trying to catch him that they don’t want to ever lose him. So they ended up adopting him. Now he lives his best life with his heeler sister that acts more like his heeler mama. He lives with a family that adores him in Chesapeake, VA

Banjo

Banjo came to us from Union county animal shelter in NC. He was found as a stray. The shelter located his last owner but he was not wanted back. He was up for euthanasia due to overcapacity and his broken front leg. Our amazing foster Olivia, dropped everything, went and got this boy and saw him through his full leg recovery. Now He is living on a 100 acre cattle farm in NC.

Spot

We pulled Spot out of Wake county animal shelter the morning his euthanasia was scheduled. A supporter of our rescue sent his post to us and we had less than 24 hours to coordinate. Our amazing foster, Olivia, once again picked him and kept him until he was adopted by his loving family here in NC.

Moe

Moe is a 10 year old Red Heeler that we saved from Palm Valley animal shelter in Texas. Moe spent 218 days in the shelter and was considered high risk for euthanasia. He was adopted quickly and now loves watching the jets play and lose with his dad in Camden, NC.

Cheeto

Cheeto is one of 3 heeler brothers that we rescued from Anson county animal shelter in NC. Sadly even puppies become urgent in overcrowded shelters. Our amazing foster Olivia gave all 3 boys the perfect foundation for their new lives. Cheeto now resides in Richmond, VA with his adopted family and heeler sister.

Cindi

Cindi waited for 854 days at the Palm Valley animal shelter. She was the dog tester because of her calm personality. While she was perfect, she was at high risk and her deadline had come. She was rescued by Bluey, adopted by her new mom and lives in Currituck County, NC.

Dixie

This is one of our most urgent rescues. Dixie was abused and was we got report that her owner was going to shoot her due to chasing cattle. We rescued her from WV as soon as we heard. She had already sustained an eye injury that will last her lifetime. She was also sick with anaplasmosis but has now fully recovered. You can see how relaxed she is for the first time with her foster in this picture. She is now adopted and living her best life in GA with her heeler sister.

Patch

Patch was a rescue from Graham, Texas, out of humane society of Young County. Patch is one of 3 brothers. He was quickly adopted and now resides in Willard, NC.

Persi

Persi was an owner surrender out of KY. She is a sweet puppy with so much life ahead of her with her new family in NM.

Bradley

Bradley is a cruelty case survivor out of WV. Bradley and his brother Buddy were taken from an abusive breeder. Bluey stepped up as soon as we heard and took both boys in. While their abuse is evident, Bradley has an amazing life ahead of him with his new family in Virginia Beach, Va.
