Eevee

Eevee was our first owner surrender. She was extremely malnourished and had been at the kill pen for months. She was bought by her last owner and kept for a short time before she was surrendered. Due to her being severely emaciated, multiple vital organs were in failure. Her owner contacted us and told us she was down and would not get up. As soon as we found out we picked her up, drove 534 miles through the night and took her to her forever home at a trusted sanctuary in Western NC.

She was seen by a vet immediately, her bloodwork was done, and re-feeding program started. She was treated for lice, and is on her road to full recovery. If you could see a horse smile, you can clearly see it in her eyes.

She was reunited with her best friend, Nadia, who was in the kill pen with her. Nadia was breaking fences to find Eevee. We were also able to rescue Nadia and now they will spend the rest of their lives together.
Nadia

Nadia was our second surrender. She spent months in the kill pen. She is a miniature horse. What she lacks in stature she makes for it with attitude.

It took the Lamberts 3 hours to catch her and load her. She was feral and had not been handled much. She was reluctant to be around people because of the abuse she had suffered most of her life. It is natural to not trust people when they have mistreated you at every turn.

Nadia is now safe at her sanctuary home. She is now glad we loaded her in the trailer! She will live out the rest of her days with her beloved best friend, Eevee.
Chance

Chance was an owner surrender who was also bought out of a kill pen. He had a long career as a show horse, but was discarded in his older age. We picked him up in this condition. He was ready to go to his new home.

Chance getting the medical attention that he needs and deserves. He is getting his teeth floated which will ease discomfort in his mouth and help him maintain a healthy weight.

Chance in his new forever home with his new mom. He now has many brothers and even some bird friends. The turkeys and ducks like him!

Chance loves his food. His re-feeding program has started and he is progressing wonderfully.
Red

Red is a sorrel American Saddlebred gelding. He enjoys his pasture buddies, both geldings and mares alike. He has a laid back personality. He was rescued from a kill pen by our rescue and is now safe forever at his new home. He is already loved by his new owner and pasture buddies.
